Five men were charged and fined thousands of dollars each after an undercover sting caught them ditching asbestos, green waste and building rubble in a state park in Perth’s northern suburbs.

The Department of Water and Environmental Regulation said covert cameras were set up at Warbrook Road in Jandabup, netting five offenders who dumped waste on 13 separate occasions.

The five men were charged and faced Joondalup Magistrates Court on June 5.

Giuseppe Napoli left behind documents bearing his name when he unloaded bricks and sand waste from his Toyota Landcruiser at the site in December 2018. He was photographed during the incident and copped a fine of almost $5000.
